Welcome to the Alabama Chapter of the NWTF. My name is Scott Brandon, and I am the current Alabama Chapter President. The wild turkey is one of Alabama’s great natural resources, and I am proud to be a member of an organization that works so hard towards the goal of conservation of the wild turkey as well as the preservation of our hunting heritage. I am extremely proud to serve with a distinguished group of volunteers who serve as Directors on the Alabama Chapter Board as well as the NWTF staff and the many volunteers who work tirelessly to make our local NWTF chapters and their Hunting Heritage banquets so successful.

The Alabama State Board is entrusted with deciding how the money raised by the individual chapters is spent. This money is called the Superfund. The Alabama Chapter continues to support putting money back in the ground through the NWTF seed subsidy programs. Alabama offers a spring subsidy each year for chufa, and we will again offer a fall subsidy for three types of clover blends. These programs alone are great reasons to be a member of the NWTF in Alabama. Another worthwhile project is our Scholarship Program that benefits selected high school seniors heading to college.

If you are a current member of the NWTF, I thank you for your dedication and hard work. If you are not a member but are interested in joining, I recommend you contact your local chapter. The time spent with fellow conservationists means new friendships that last a lifetime. The love of nature and hunting is a gift we should all cherish and preserve for future generations. Save the habitat. Save the hunt.
